Is a deposit required to confirm the reservation?
A valid credit card is required as a guarantee or payment via pay by link; if the arrival is in the late afternoon or evening, a pre-authorization is performed on the CC provided.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is available from 2:00 PM.
Check-out is by 11:00 AM.
Is it possible to request a late check-out or early check-in?
These requests are subject to availability and may incur an additional fee. Please contact us in advance for a quote.
What time is the buffet breakfast served?
Our breakfast buffet is served from 6:30 to 10:00 am.
If your schedule does not allow you to use the breakfast service, we will be happy to prepare a small but pleasant take away upon request.
Do the Hotels have parking?
All our Hotels have a PRIVATE UNDERGROUND GARAGE FOR A FEE at a cost of 13 Euros per night of stay. The underground garage must be booked in advance.
Alternatively, there is the possibility of parking for free in the EXTERNAL PARKINGS owned by the Hotel (not guarded) or on the public road. In our neighborhood, external public parkings are free and without time limits, but obviously we cannot guarantee their availability or safety.
Is there a restaurant in the Hotel?
No, our Hotels do not have a restaurant.
In the immediate vicinity of our hotels you can still find good alternatives for a quick lunch or dinner, while the historic center of Verona offers countless excellent solutions that our receptionists will be able to suggest to you.
Do you accept pets?
Yes, small pets are welcome at HOTEL PORTA PALIO. Please let us know when booking.
The house rules require that your four-legged friend never be left alone in the room (so if you come to attend a concert or some other event where he is not allowed, perhaps it is better to leave him at home in the care of someone).
Upon your arrival at the Hotel you will be asked to sign a sheet in which you assume responsibility in case of disturbance / damage by your pet.
Is it possible to store luggage before check-in or after check-out?
Yes, we offer a free same-day luggage storage service for our guests at the reception.
Do you have a self-service laundry service?
Yes, our hotels have a self-service laundry service costing 15 Euros, available from 8:00 to 20:00.
We provide you with detergent and you have access to the washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board for the time necessary to complete the washing operations.
If you only need to iron a few creased items of clothing, you can use the iron and ironing board for free, but only and exclusively within the designated area.
Do you have a gym?
Yes, the Hotel has a gym accessible from 8:00 to 20:00 to guests of age with suitable furniture.
Use of the gym must be booked at the Reception, where you will be asked to sign a presence sheet. This serves to control access to the fitness room and make its use more pleasant.
Does the breakfast buffet include specific foods for celiacs and lactose intolerants?
Yes, in the Hotel we always have a small selection of packaged food products available that are suitable for consumption by people with allergies / intolerances to gluten and lactose.
Many foods on the buffet are also naturally gluten and lactose free, but in the case of very severe eating disorders we do not recommend consuming them as they are not contamination-proof.
Does the breakfast buffet have specific options for vegetarians / vegans?
No, we are sorry but we do not offer specific vegetarian / vegan options.
Although there are foods on the buffet that naturally meet these requirements (fruit, vegetables, jams, cereals, soy milk), we do not feel we can say that we offer specific vegan options.
Is there a public transport stop near the Hotel?
Yes, near our Hotels there are public transport stops that provide urban and extra-urban services (Lake Garda, Sirmione etc. etc.).
Our location allows our guests, however, to reach the historic center on foot in a short time, so it is not essential to use public transport to get around.
Is the reception of your hotels always open?
Yes, the reception of all our hotels is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Are your Hotel suitable for travellers attending a concert or the Opera at the Arena?
Our hotels are the perfect choice for those traveling to Verona to attend a concert or opera at the Arena.
The amphitheater is easily accessible both on foot and by public transportation, and our location just outside the historic city walls allows for a peaceful night's sleep, away from the noise of the historic center, which, during the summer months, sees many people staying out late in the bars and restaurants beneath the windows of accommodations.
Are your hotels suitable for cyclists?
Our hotels are perfect for cyclists, and in fact, we have over a decade of experience welcoming those who choose to travel by bicycle.
First of all, we're located a short distance from Verona Porta Nuova Station: many trains now allow you to travel with your bike, making it easy to combine multiple stops on a route that winds through different destinations, avoiding long and exhausting transfers.
Furthermore, we're located at the crossroads of a fascinating region to explore by bike: Valpolicella, the historic center of Verona, the Soave hills, the Lessinia region, and the Mincio area between Verona and Mantua are all perfect locations for cyclists.
All bicycles (both electric and traditional) can be stored free of charge in our underground garage. We have dedicated charging stations for e-bikes.

Our hotels are an excellent choice for those arriving in Verona by plane, whether landing at Valerio Catullo Airport, Orio al Serio Airport, or other local airports (Treviso, Venice).
Those landing at Valerio Catullo Airport can easily reach Verona Porta Nuova Station with the VERONA AIRLINK service and, from the station, reach our hotels in just a few minutes on foot.
Orio al Serio Airport and other local airports are connected by shuttle services operated by Busitalia and Flixbus, which also depart from Verona Porta Nuova Station.
